Last week, the SHRINEs Consortium partners met in Romania for the project last Consortium Meeting and Final Event: two pivotal moments to reflect on the impact of this groundbreaking initiative.
The final meeting, organized by the Romanian partner FCF, discussed the challenges of protecting places of worship that face infrastructure problems. It was attended by FCF representatives and heritage preservation experts, who presented solutions on the vulnerability of these sites. SHRINEs project partners presented results and successes, emphasizing the importance of involving local communities. The SHRINEs project has become an example of effective cooperation between religious institutions, law enforcement agencies, research institutes and technologists to protect places of worship from growing threats.
The SHRINEs Project concludes with a significant legacy: a strong Network, innovative tools, and an increasingly aware by the local community on the main challenges related to the protection of places of worship and cultural heritage are the key resources to enhance the security and safety in these places.
