This is a huge success for the Biohazard Prevention Centre at the University of 艁贸d藕 and other members of the consortium working on this project, as well as a source of great satisfaction for the entire team of experts at the University of 艁贸d藕 that the principles we have developed are becoming law in the European Union.

Work on the project entitled 鈥淪afe Stadium 鈥 Integrated large sport facilities protection system supporting the CBRN security of mass events鈥, which has been underway since June 2021, has been carried out by experts from the Biohazard Prevention Centre at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Sciences of the University of 艁贸d藕 in cooperation with sports clubs Real Madrid, Lech Pozna艅 and MSK 沤ilina, as well as the Municipal Arena of Culture and Sport in 艁贸d藕, police, fire and rescue services, and several institutions from across Europe. The rules, procedures and recommendations they developed, now included in the EU Council Conclusions, are intended to improve the overall safety of mass events in stadiums and sports halls.
The project included large-scale exercises simulating terrorist threats using CBRN-E agents for participants in sporting and mass events. These took place at the National Stadium and the W艂adys艂aw Kr贸l Stadium in 艁贸d藕.
