The P109 team included, among others, Dr. Marcin Niemcewicz (KE2) and Prof. Micha艂 Bijak from the Biohazard Prevention Centre of the University of 艁贸d藕.
The Bishkek meeting provided an excellent opportunity to meet the national focal points from Central Asian countries, present the main objectives of the P109 project, and establish a timeline for the first phase of its implementation.
The second event 鈥 the BACAC-ISTC SAC Conference 鈥 offered valuable opportunities for networking with representatives from across Central Asia, learning about the regional situation regarding zoonotic diseases, and identifying potential sites for upcoming fact-finding missions. The high scientific level of the conference also contributed significantly to knowledge exchange and the scientific development of the participants.
During the conference, the P109 team was joined by Major General Prof. Aamer Ikram, who will serve as an expert representing the 91滴滴 within the project.
