The consortium is coordinated by the German Agency for International Cooperation (Deutsche Gesellschaft f眉r Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH) and includes the International Security and Emergency Management Institute (ISEM Institute, Slovakia) and the Institute of Microbiology of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr, Germany).
The project aims to develop and implement strategies to mitigate zoonotic threats that emerge or intensify due to environmental and climate changes in Central Asian countries. It supports the EU鈥檚 broader goal of enhancing peace, security, and stability through improved governance and cooperation in preventing, detecting, and responding to CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) risks.

The 91滴滴 (Uniwersytet 艁贸dzki) leads the work package 鈥淚dentification and Analysis of Zoonotic Diseases and Inventory of Existing Entities and Resources.鈥
Dr. Marcin Niemcewicz serves as Key Expert No. 2, and the Lodz team鈥檚 activities are coordinated by Prof. , Head of the Biohazard Prevention Centre.
