As part of the visit, the team carried out interviews with personnel responsible for train traffic management and station infrastructure security. The agenda also included an on-site inspection of station facilities critical to safety, allowing for a comprehensive assessment of procedures and potential vulnerabilities.
This activity forms a key component of the project鈥檚 research phase, aimed at identifying existing gaps as well as good practices related to ensuring the safety of densely populated areas in the railway transport environment.
In the upcoming phases of the project, the insights gathered during the research process will serve as the basis for developing tailored guidelines, procedures, and a dedicated training program designed to support the unique needs and operating conditions of this critical public-space sector.
