Inter- and multiculturality, migrations, escapes and emigration in German and Eastern European contexts.

The competition is open for PhD students of SDNH UL and JLU Gie脽en wishing to carry out their doctoral dissertation in the 鈥渃otutelle鈥� mode.
We offer:
- international doctorate carried out simultaneously at two universities: JLU Gie脽en and the university of Lodz;
- one-year traneeship at JLU Gie脽en;
- a mobility allowance in the amount of EUR 1000 per month for 12 months, paid out by JLU Gie脽en;
- assistance in finding a financially viable place of residence.
Requirements:
- a framework topic of the dissertation proposed by the candidate should be adjusted to the subject of the Project announced;
- knowledge of English at B2 level and one of two languages: German or Polish at a minimum B1 level (as proven with a language certificate or degree in the appropriate language studies).
Documents required from candidates in the competition:
- degree certificate(s) and academic transcript(s) of undergraduate and graduate degrees, a direct Master鈥檚 degree or its equivalent (an official copy, or alternatively, a certified true copy signed by UL staff);
- competition application form;
- outline of a doctoral dissertation prepared in Polish, English or German;
- information on scientific and research activities as well as popularisation, social and organisational activities;
- a certificate or other document confirming knowledge of English at B2 level and one of the two languages: German or Polish at B1 level or higher.
Doctoral degree holders or students of other doctoral schools in Poland cannot participate in the Project.
