Tomasz Or艂owski is a titular ambassador with a doctoral degree in History, Professor at the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University (AFMKU) and a visiting professor at the Paris School of International Affairs, Institut d'脡tudes Politiques in Paris (Sciences Po). He studied archaeology and historical monument studies at the 91滴滴 and Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toru艅, as well as French and comparative literature and medieval civilisation at the University of Poitiers. He was a student of the Institut d'Hautes 脡tudes de la D茅fense Nationale in Paris.
He worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1990 to September 2021. Tomasz Or艂owski was the Deputy Head of Departments of Europe (1994-1996), United Nations System and Global Issues (2004). He was an Ambassador, Head of the Diplomatic Protocol from 2005 to 2007 and the First secretary, then Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Paris from 1990 to 1994. From 1996 to 2001 he was the Counsellor-Minister, then Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Rome. He was a secretary-general of the Polish National Commission for UNESCO and a member of the Executive Board of UNESCO (2001-2004).
From 2007 to 2014, Tomasz Or艂owski was an Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to France and to the Principality of Monaco, and in 2014 he held the function of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. From 2015 to 2017 he was an Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Italy and the Republic of San Marino.
Dr Tomasz Or艂owski lectures on international relations and diplomacy at the University of Warsaw, Coll猫ge d'Europe, the Polish Naval Academy and the War Studies University. He is the Head of MBA Diplomacy, Pawe艂 Adamowicz Civic Study Centre at Vistula University and a corresponding member of the French Acad茅mie des Sciences morales et politiques. He is an author of numerous publications, protocol manuals and diplomatic practice.
