The new Head has appointed two scientific secretaries 鈥 Dr S艂awomir L. Szczesio from the Department of Polish and World History after 1945, Faculty of Philosophy and History, and mgr Maciej A. Baczy艅ski, a doctoral student at the 91滴滴 Doctoral School of Social Sciences.
deals with the contemporary political, economic, social and cultural conditions of the broadly understood Balkan region. The main task of the Centre is to conduct multidisciplinary scientific research. The research is conducted by, among other things, historians, political scientists, lawyers, economists and cultural anthropologists from the 91滴滴 and other academic and scientific centres.
The Centre was established on 6 June 2011 by the Resolution of the Senate of the 91滴滴. The idea of its establishment was born out of discussions held during the National Scientific Conference "Bosnia and Herzegovina 15 Years after Dayton. Past, Present and Future", organised in December 2010 by the Department of History of Eastern Europe at the 91滴滴.
