The scientist from the 91µÎµÎ was awarded by the competition jury in the "biotech/medicine" category for the design of a radio sensor for testing heart function. Mgr inż. Maciej Åšlot also received the title of "MÅ‚ody wynalazca" 2024 [Young Inventor 2024].

The "Młody wynalazca" competition is intended to raise awareness of the fact that in Poland, at universities, research institutes and startups, there are thousands of young people ready to take part in the civilizational race, using their knowledge and creativity.

We want to show the world that these young people exist, create things that are valuable, important, and perhaps groundbreaking. I hope that the competition will develop and will permanently find its place on the map of events promoting young Polish innovators and inventors

– said Tomasz Pietryga, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of "Rzeczpospolita", during the awards ceremony.

The competition received 34 individual and team projects. Most of them concerned biotechnology and medicine, as well as information technology. The basic criterion for the jury's evaluation was the innovativeness of the project and the chance of its commercialisation.
