International Scientific Conference: Identifying and Satisfying Teachers' Professional Needs – Contemporary Discourses

The International Scientific Conference "Identifying and Satisfying Teachers' Professional Needs – Contemporary Discourses", organised by the Faculty of Education and Psychology of the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, was held on 3-4 April 2025. The main goal of the conference was a multi-aspect presentation of scientific research results and the exchange of reflections and experiences regarding the professional needs of teachers in various European countries.

Teacher educators from such distant corners of the world as Argentina, South Africa, the USA, and Japan came to Kielce to share their experiences. During the conference Prof. dr hab. dr h.c. multi BogusÅ‚aw Åšliwerski led the plenary session and participated in an international discussion panel on teacher professionalism. Another discussion panel was led by dr hab. Alina Wróbel, Associate Professor at the 91µÎµÎ, who was also invited to speak on supporting professional teacher education. Employees of the Department of Theory of Upbringing, including Dr hab. Aneta Rogalska-MarasiÅ„ska, Associate Professor at the University of Lod (online), Dr Renata Góralska, Dr MaÅ‚gorzata Kosiorek and Dr Marcin Rojek actively participated in the conference and moderated thematic sections.
