The 91µÎµÎ Vice-Rector for Academic and External Relations, dr hab. RadosÅ‚aw Olszewski, Associate Professor at the 91µÎµÎ and the Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the 91µÎµÎ, dr hab. Alina Wróbel, Associate Professor at the 91µÎµÎ, emphasised the importance of implementation and research activities impact on the development of social capital, drawing attention to the importance of their sustainability and innovation, and referring to the concept of "islands of educational resistance."
Elżbieta Płaszczyk, Director of the Education Department at the Office of the City of Lodz, highlighted the importance of active cooperation and dialogue between the university and the Lodz Municipal Preschools, which implement innovative approaches to learning processes, with a particular emphasis on literacy. She underlined that such activities fostered trust and motivated continued cooperation.
The authors of the project "Skuteczne zdziwienie. Wyzwalamy myÅ›lenie", dr hab. Monika WiÅ›niewska-Kin, Associate Professor at the 91µÎµÎ and mgr Weronika Kisiel, analysing the results of a five-year study, have demonstrated the exceptional potential of Lodz preschoolers in recognising signs that consolidate speech and reading. Referring to M. Ende's ideas, they emphasised that "their educational experiences, which were often taken on foot, gained wings under the influence of children."
Activities carried out together with preschoolers allowed them to experience freedom, break free from established patterns, unleash their imagination and provoked children's natural curiosity.
