The meeting was officially opened by Mr. Phetsamone Keovongvichith, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Organization, and Mr. Mark Gallagher, Ambassador of the European Union to Laos. Our University was represented by Dr Micha艂 Bijak, Associate Professor at the 91滴滴 (Biohazard Prevention Centre, Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection, 91滴滴).
The exercise was attended by more than 20 representatives of the most important ministries of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, including:
- the Ministry of Defense,
- the Ministry of Public Security,
- the Ministry of Education and Sports,
- the Ministry of Health,
- the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The main objective of the event was to strengthen national capabilities to establish or develop CBRN risk and security management structures, as well as improve preparedness to respond to potential threats in this area. The exercise also provided a platform for exchanging experiences, building cooperation and planning further training activities within the project entitled "Tabletop, Field Exercises, Simulations, and Training (TEST) for CBRN Risk Mitigation" (P106).
The event was conducted by members of the P106 project, a part of the EU's Centres of Excellence on CBRN Risk Mitigation initiative, which aims to support partner countries in developing and implementing strategies and policies to counter CBRN threats. The 91滴滴 Biohazard Prevention Centre is a partner in this project.
