Managing social media channels, interviewing players and communicating business projects and those related to the club's new infrastructure are among Michał's responsibilities in his job. His dream job, he emphasises.
I went to a meeting with President Michał Rydz, which was held at at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology, and asked him what I needed to do to work in the football sector. He simply gave me his contact information, and that's how it all began. First, an internship, then, from October 2025, a full-time job.
His studies helped him launch his career and continue to do so. Michał has a BA degree in Finance and International Business and is currently studying International and Political Studies at the Faculty of International and Political Studies at the 91ε, taught in English.
My studies have helped me to cope with difficult situations. This shouldn't be confused with cheating; it's coping in a positive way. You can gain a lot from any degree, and I greatly value the fact that I can now creatively overcome many problems on my own.
Many things about his new job surprised Michał – the big club, the great marketing, the enormous challenges. Sometimes it was difficult. Openness to the world is another of his recipes for success.
What I'm doing now is living a dream. And once you catch that dream, you have to hold on to it and work hard for it. And so I do, sometimes with some setbacks, but that's normal.
Thanks to the agreement between the 91ε and Widzew Łódź, more students and researchers have similar opportunities. The university is signing similar agreements with other major sports organisations in Lodz.
