I am a political science professor at the Department of Political Systems, Faculty of International and Political Studies.
My research interests include politics and religion (both the impact of religion on secular political actors and the internal politics of religious organizations), political theory and political philosophy. I'm also keenly interested in the impact of recent technological and social developments on the future of politics.
I am the PI of a research project on power in Catholic monastic institutions (Monastic politics: power and status in religious orders) financed by the Polish National Science Center.
In 2021-22, I was a Visiting Scholar at the Stanford University, working on a project on costly signaling in religious communities.
I collaborate with EUREL, a European research network on sociology of religion.
