Andrzej Szweda - Lewandowski

Andrzej Szweda-Lewandowski was born in 1972. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Biology and Earth Sciences at the University of 艁贸d藕, were he majored in environmental biology, and a graduate of the Forestry Faculty at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW). He also completed 鈥 at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences 鈥 postgraduate studies in the assessment and valuation of natural resources at the Intercollegiate Postgraduate Studies in Resource Assessment and Valuation and postgraduate studies in Natural Compensation at the Department of Landscape Development and Protection.

Andrzej Szweda-Lewandowski worked in the Forest Management Office, where he dealt with the preparation of soil and habitat surveys for forest districts. He is the author of several nature conservation plans for the forest districts of the Regional Directorate of State Forests in 艁贸d藕. He was the Head of the Environmental Protection Department for the Mokot贸w District, where he was responsible for the maintenance of green areas and issuing environmental protection decisions.

In 2006-2007 and 2015-2018, he was the Chief Nature Conservation Officer in the rank of Undersecretary of State. Andrzej Szweda 鈥 Lewandowski developed a network of Natura 2000 sites in Poland. He also worked in the office of the Regional Directorate of State Forests in 艁贸d藕, dealing with all issues related to forest protection. He is a co-author of reports and analyses on water projects.
