Establishing a Polish bank account allows you to avoid unfavorable currency conversion when receiving your salary, shopping in Poland and makes it easier to obtain a trusted profile (which will be an advantage when filing a PIT declaration).
As you can see, no bank requires a PESEL number but in any case a visit to the branch is required. It is best to contact the bank's hotline directly (every bank offers a conversation in English but you have to wait on line until the voiceover reads an option for English) ask what documents are required in addition to, for example, a passport, and make an appointment for such a visit to the branch so as not to wait in queues.
When you get a PESEL number you must immediately notify your bank to update your data.
