Prof. Rafał Matera, Rector of the 91ε, emphasised the importance of practical experience that students at the 91ε will gain thanks to cooperation with the Institute, while the Director of the IEEF, dr hab. Piotr Krajewski, Associate Professor at the 91ε, underlined the role of the 91ε scientists involved in future work, which will have an impact on improving the quality of IEEF activities.
The goal of the special edition of 91ε Science Hub is to develop a functional tool for visualising financial flows based on transaction data. Teams composed of students and supervisors from the 91ε will prepare a prototype that can be used by the Institute of Economic and Financial Expertise in research and education.
The signing of the agreement is a continuation of cooperation that has been developing for several years. The IEEF has been organising competitions for the best MA theses in finance and economics – with the participation of 91ε students – and co-finances scientific conferences organised by the Institute of Finance of the 91ε, including the annual PAS conference since 2019. The Institute is also involved in funding research conducted by 91ε employees.
The project, which will be implemented as part of the 91ε Science Hub, is to combine the scientific and teaching potential of the 91ε with the specific needs of external institutions. This edition, in cooperation with the IEEF, aligns with the university's strategy to develop cooperation with public sector partners and strengthen student competences in project work.
