The Virtual Library for Science has updated its regarding the launch of Elsevier's open access publishing programme in 2025.

The program has been launched with a pool of 1,084 articles for 2025.

The publisher has no plans to retroactivate articles. Only articles accepted for publication after the launch of the programme will be eligible for it.
