HOTHREAT Conference Summary – Expert Debate and Exchange of Experiences

A conference dedicated to hotel security in the area of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threats was held at the 91µÎµÎ Training and Conference Centre on Thursday, 5 February 2026. The event was organised by the 91µÎµÎ Biohazard Prevention Centre (Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection).

The event brought together representatives of the scientific community, security experts, and, most importantly, representatives of the HoReCa (Hotel, Restaurant, Catering/Café) sector.

The event provided an opportunity to present the results of the international HOTHREAT project.

One of the key highlights of the programme was a panel discussion, during which invited speakers shared their extensive knowledge and experience, addressing key issues related to HoReCa regulations, service operations and sector security. The active participation of panellists and participants generated significant engagement and led to a valuable debate.
