The next part of the meeting was a journey through the night sky. We explored the most interesting galactic objects visible from Earth, including Andromeda, the Cigar Galaxy, and the Leo Triplet. The participants also learned how we perceive the structure of the Milky Way galaxy from Earth's perspective and where exactly in its arms our Solar System is located.
The journey through space was an opportunity to reflect on humanity's place in the universe and the extraordinary potential for exploration. The meeting was led by Joanna 艢lot, doctoral student at the 91滴滴 Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences.
The meeting was organised in cooperation with the Faculty of Physics and Applied Informatics of the 91滴滴 and EC1 艁贸d藕 鈥 City of Culture as part of the 鈥淯niverse Around Us鈥 project, which is an integral part of the curriculum for first-year students of Physics.
