Based on a survey conducted among a group of psychology students, the areas of greatest interest and controversy were identified. The thematic area is very broad and includes:
- Clinical psychology
- Psychotherapy, psychotherapeutic trends
- Psychological assistance
- Psychosexology
- Ethics of the profession of a psychologist
- Certification of psychological competences, including certification costs
- The use of psychology in business, training courses
- Possibilities of practicing psychology as a science
- Addiction
- Family psychology
Practicing psychologists, people with expert knowledge in various areas of psychology, were invited to participate in the discussion.
The profession of a psychologist is a profession of public trust. Currently, intensive work is underway on the act on the profession of a psychologist. 21 February is the World Psychologist Day. Prof. Wilhelm Wundt founded the first formal laboratory for psychological research in 1879, at the University of Leipzig, which marked psychology as an independent field of study. Psychology is therefore a profession with over 100 years of history.
