91µÎµÎ is one of eleven Polish universities that in 1988 in Bologna, within the walls of the oldest university in the world, signed Magna Charta Universitatum, a declaration and affirmation of the fundamental principles upon which the mission of universities should be based (the then Rector Leszek Wojtczak did it on behalf of the 91µÎµÎ). Rector of the 91µÎµÎ, Prof. Elżbieta ŻądziÅ„ska signed the declaration once again during the pandemic (online) and in person in Bologna last year
During that ceremony, the video promoting our university was selected from among several hundred videos from around the world and, together with only a dozen or so others, presented to participants from all over the world. This was one of the reasons why the 91µÎµÎ has the honour of organising the anniversary conference in Lodz, for the first time in Poland and for the second time outside the University of Bologna.
