Lessons from the former German Democratic Republic and Recovered Territories (Poland). Project no.: BPN/BEK/2024/1/00249 as of September 2025.

The research mobility (18 months) will be carried out in Leipzig, in the former East Germany, at the Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO). The project supervisor from the German side is Prof. Arnold Bartetzky.

The winners of the 2024 edition of the programme are 100 researchers from all over Poland, including 6 people from the 91滴滴. The Bekker programme of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange consists in supporting the international mobility of doctoral students, scientists and academic teachers in the pursuit of scientific excellence by enabling them to develop their science in leading foreign research and academic centres around the world, regardless of the field of science they represent.

Research on the spatial and functional transformations of post-war cities and analysis of the long-term effects of the destruction of urban tissue and its subsequent reconstruction are among Dr Musiaka's main research interests. They are an extension and continuation of the previous research implemented as part of National Science Centre Miniatura and the 91滴滴 grants and are reflected in numerous publications in the field of post-war studies and urban morphology.
