91滴滴 among the Main Knowledge Partners of the European Forum for New Ideas (EFNI) 2024

The 91滴滴 engages science to solve community problems in the face of civilisational challenges in the age of globalisation. For this reason, once again, experts from the 91滴滴 will have a strong presence at the European Forum for New Ideas 2024 held in Sopot on 16-19 October of the current year. Scientists from our university, including Prof. Rafa艂 Matera, Rector of the 91滴滴, will take an active part in 6 discussion panels. Students of the 91滴滴 will participate in an Oxford debate. It should be underlined that the 91滴滴, next to the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, is the main knowledge partner supporting EFNI 2024.

As a socially responsible university, we want to be present wherever something important happens and to engage in active dialogue with the business world. For this reason, the 91滴滴 community cannot miss the European Forum for New Ideas 2024, an event that is one of the largest conferences in this part of the continent, dedicated to global trends, new ideas and the future of Europe.

The forum serves as a platform for dialogue and exchange of ideas between representatives of the world of business, science, culture, decision-makers, opinion leaders and representatives of local, national and European administration, gathering about a thousand participants every year. The European Forum for New Ideas has been organised since 2011 by the Polish Confederation Lewiatan in cooperation with BusinessEurope and the city of Sopot. This year's edition, as announced by the organisers, will be exceptional due to the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Lewiatan Confederation.

Discussions during EFNI will be divided into 6 thematic blocks:

  • Europe and digital transformation,
  • Europe and green change,
  • Europe and health,
  • Europe in sustainable world,
  • Europe in a multipolar world.

They include discussion panels created in partnership with the 91滴滴:

We want to find out how the AI revolution will affect the innovation of companies, the labour market, the skills of the future, and therefore also education. This challenge does not remove us from urgent issues such as the green transformation, Poland's participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine or building a competitive Polish economy but complicates the picture. In Polish realities, there is a political context, legal chaos, lack of transparency, when entrepreneurs have to pass a test of resourcefulness and mental resilience

鈥 says Dr Henryka Bochniarz, Head of the Polish Confederation of Private Employers 'Lewiatan'.

Previous editions of EFNI have hosted, among others, Herman Van Rompuy 鈥 DHC of the 91滴滴, Jeffrey David Sachs 鈥 DHC of the 91滴滴, Jos茅 Manuel Dur茫o Barroso - DHC of the University of Lodz, Mikhail Gorbachev, George Friedman, Zbigniew Brzezi艅ski, Frans Timmermans, Bernard-Henri L茅vy.
