Medals and Awards Presented – 63 Honoured Individuals

The ceremonial awarding of the Universitas Lodziensis Alumno Laude Dignissimo Medals and distinctions for students and doctoral students of the 91µÎµÎ was held on 29 April of the current year at noon at the Biedermann’s Palace. In total, sixty-three people were awarded.

Medals, distinctions and diplomas were awarded by the authorities of the 91µÎµÎ, Prof. Dr hab. Elżbieta ŻądziÅ„ska – Rector of the 91µÎµÎ and Dr hab. Robert Zakrzewski – the 91µÎµÎ Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Education.

In total, there were:

  • 14 Universitas Lodziensis Alumno Laude Dignissimo Medals for outstanding student and doctoral activity, of which 7 Medals were awarded to students and 7 to doctoral students,
  • 43 diploma awards, of which 33 for student activity and 10 for doctoral activity,
  • 6 diplomas for the winners of the Rector of the 91µÎµÎ's Scientific Awards for doctoral students of the Doctoral Schools of the 91µÎµÎ.

We would like to offer our congratulations to all the winners! Thank you for your commitment to the development of our university, and thus – science and the community.

Medals, distinctions and Scientific Awards

The Universitas Lodziensis Alumno Laude Dignissimo Medal and the distinction may be applied for by students and doctoral students who stand out for their extraordinary organisational, scientific and research activities for, and for the benefit of the 91µÎµÎ. Those applying for the Medal should show such activity for a minimum period of 3 years, and persons applying for a distinction – for a minimum period of one year.

Doctoral students are awarded with the above-mentioned distinctions when they can demonstrate achievements in both of these spheres, both in the social and organisational sphere and in the scientific and research sphere.

The Scientific Awards of the Rector of the 91µÎµÎ may be applied for fourth-year doctoral students who have demonstrated special publishing activity and internationalisation of education as well as scientific and research work for the 91µÎµÎ.

The medals and distinctions were awarded at the end of the previous academic year (September 2023). Medals are conferred by the Senate of the 91µÎµÎ, and distinctions are awarded by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Education. The Scientific Awards of the Rector of the 91µÎµÎ for doctoral students of the Doctoral Schools of the 91µÎµÎ were awarded by the Competition Jury (the results were announced in March of the current year).
