Doctoral students from the 91µÎµÎ Doctoral School of Humanities, mgr Patrycja Chuszcz and Dr Joanna Kulawiak-Cyrankowska, were recognized by the committee of the in the Competition for the Research Award of the Rector of the 91µÎµÎ for their achievements in the field of publishing activities and internationalisation of education, as well as scientific and research work.
The project, headed by mgr Patrycja Chuszcz, from the Faculty of Philology at the 91µÎµÎ, was awarded funding of nearly PLN 200,000. The project, "Dyskurs praw zwierzÄ…t tzw. hodowlanych w filmie dokumentalnym. Badania widowni" [Discourse of the so-called farm animal rights in documentary films. Audience research], selected as part of the PRELUDIUM 23 competition, will be implemented at the 91µÎµÎ.
The fact that it has actually happened is a great moment – a long-awaited one, but also a bit unbelievable […]. Of course, the funding is crucial, but this grant also has a symbolic meaning for me. It's proof that qualitative research and the (film) animal studies movement are gaining attention in our country.
