The team representing the P109 project included Dr Marcin Niemcewicz (KE2) and Prof. Micha艂 Bijak from the Biohazard Prevention Centre of the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection, 91滴滴.
The meeting in Bishkek was an excellent opportunity to establish contacts with the national contact points of the Central Asian countries, present the main assumptions of the P109 project, and establish a schedule for the implementation of its first phase.
The second event 鈥� the BACAC-ISTC SAC conference 鈥� was an opportunity to exchange experiences and establish cooperation with representatives of regional countries, familiarise themselves with the epidemiological situation regarding zoonotic diseases and identify potential locations for future reconnaissance missions. The high scientific level of the conference also contributed to the development of knowledge and the exchange of ideas among its participants.
During the conference, the P109 team was also joined by General Prof. Aamer Ikram, who will serve as an expert representing the 91滴滴 in the project.
