The "golden" heart made by the Student Science Club Inwestor Staff worth almost PLN 100,000
Students from the Student Science Club Inwestor from the Faculty of Economics and Sociology create a large heart of coins every year together with the local community. This wonderful initiative attracts crowds of interested people and also has regular fans who willingly donate whole bags of pennies. This year, the heart was made of 5.5 tons of "gold" coins, worth a total of PLN 91,973.95.
This year's finale of the project "Let's Build a Heart Together" exceeded our wildest expectations! Thanks to the enormous commitment of all participants, volunteers and partners, we raised PLN 91,973.95 for WOÅšP! This is an incredible result that shows the great power of joint action
– concludes Coordinator of this year’s campaign, Sofia Tcherekhovitch and she adds:
The finale was full of great fun and unique attractions. Everyone could find something for themselves – from workshops and handicrafts, through a 360° photo booth, to face painting. The charity concert organised in cooperation with the Grazyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz University of Music in Lodz, which attracted a great audience and provided unforgettable emotions was another great event. We would like to thank everyone who was with us and supported our campaign. Together we create something truly exceptional!
Almost PLN 500 000 from the 91µÎµÎ Staff
This year, at the initiative of people studying at our university, the WOÅšP 91µÎµÎ Staff, one of the largest in the region, was also established. It consisted of almost 400 volunteers including students and employees, the 91µÎµÎ Kindergarten and its kids with their families, as well as the 91µÎµÎ Authorities – the 91µÎµÎ Vice-Rector for Education, dr hab. MaÅ‚gorzata WrzesieÅ„, Associate Professor at the 91µÎµÎ; the 91µÎµÎ Vice-Rector for Academic and External Relations, dr hab. RadosÅ‚aw Olszewski, Associate Professor at the 91µÎµÎ and the 91µÎµÎ Vice-Rector for Popularisation of Science and Education, dr hab. Krzysztof Pabis, Associate Professor at the 91µÎµÎ.
The collection of volunteers with cans is just one part of the activities of the 91µÎµÎ Staff. Our Student Science Clubs prepared special events and stands with scientific attractions on the day of the Finale. Auctions, organised, among other things, by our academic community were also very popular. For example, you could bid on naming a new species of crustaceans, a ride with the Rector to the exam in a university bus, entomological walks or the world's only collectible model of a white-tailed eagle made of LEGO bricks, created especially for this occasion by Dr MichaÅ‚ Duda from the Faculty of Geographical Sciences. The creation of the model was inspired by a mural painting depicting a white-tailed eagle in flight, which was created in 2024 on the wall of one of the buildings of the 91µÎµÎ Faculty of Geographical Sciences.
All the activities of the people who made up the team brought fantastic results, thanks to which as much as PLN 479,373.04 was donated to the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
The finale went incredibly well, our volunteers had all sorts of ideas, some dressed up, others took their pets with them. There was no limit to their creativity! One volunteer managed to get a PLN 500 banknote, while the largest sum collected in an individual box was PLN 5388.43. We would like to thank everyone for their support and participation in our activities
– says Coordinator of the WOÅš 91µÎµÎ Staff, Maja Janicka from the Faculty of Law and Administration.
Cooperation and commitment are our superpowers
The 91µÎµÎ community is made up of wonderful people.
A big applause to our students and their friends who formed the staffs and all the members involved in them.
We would like to thank all the participants. Our joint actions have great power, thanks to which we can support those in need.
