91µÎµÎ was appreciated primarily for its significant contribution to the development of the sector and professional cooperation with business. On behalf of our university, the distinction was collected by Prof. Agnieszka Kurczewska, the 91µÎµÎ Vice-Rector for External Relations.

The distinction for the 91µÎµÎ from ABSL is a result of activities in the area between education and cooperation with the external environment. We are glad that our efforts are recognised and the 91µÎµÎ's offer meets the highest standards and requirements of the labour market. The distinction motivates us to continue working

– underlines Prof. Agnieszka Kurczewska.

The award is the result of the strategic cooperation of the 91µÎµÎ with business, including the involvement in launching an innovative study programme "AML Analyst – anti-money laundering" at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the 91µÎµÎ this year. This innovative study programme enables students to acquire the necessary competences to operate effectively in a dynamic environment, subject to constant regulatory changes. The launch of Fintech Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the 91µÎµÎ, together with Invest in Lodz (Central Poland) and specialists from several dozen companies from the Lodz fintech sector was an equally important undertaking in this area.

The great involvement of scientists from the 91µÎµÎ in the process of building future competences is also important. This is manifested, among other things, by: their presence at the European Forum for New Ideas. At EFNI 2022, scientists from the 91µÎµÎ took an active part in discussion panels devoted to the most important problems of modern business and society, such as: the development of new technologies, digital transformation in organisations, and healthier life in cities. The 91µÎµÎ was represented by: Dr hab. Agnieszka Kurczewska, Associate Professor, a researcher at the Department of Economic Mechanisms at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the 91µÎµÎ, Dr Ada Florentyna Pawlak who is a lecturer at the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology of the 91µÎµÎ, a speaker at Digital University, specializing in the area of social implications of artificial intelligence and transhumanism, and Dr hab. Mariusz SokoÅ‚owicz, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Regional Economics and Environment of the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the 91µÎµÎ, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the 91µÎµÎ.

As a university, we are proud that the initiatives by the 91µÎµÎ contribute not only to the development of individual skills of our students, but also to building future competences that are in line with the expectations of employers. We would also like to thank all employees, business partners (EY Polska, mBank S.A., Euroclear, Nordea, Fintech Central Poland) and everyone involved in the jointly implemented projects.
