Workshops, field research, lectures

The participants spent five intensive days taking part in lectures, field research, joint discussions and getting to know each other's cultures of origin (Polish, Czech, Lithuanian, Iraqi, Slovak, Ukrainian, Russian, Kazakh and Nigerian). The programme of the trip included traditional bread baking workshops in the Rural Community Centre in Swornegacie and a visit to the Ethnographic Park in Wdzydze, where the participants got familiar with the contemporary Kashubian culture.

Mobility – new contacts

It should be mentioned that mobility is not only about science and research. During these few days, many international contacts were made, thanks to which the participants had the opportunity to confront their ideas or stereotypes with the reality of cooperation in an international company.

The programme has a mixed nature – online classes are held before and after the mobility. The project is implemented as a Blended Intensive Programme as part of the Erasmus + programme "Intercultural ethnography. Customs, beliefs and everyday practices in the Kashubia region. Data collection, analysis and collaborative exchanges". Its organised by Dr Magdalena Wojciechowska and Dr Dominika Byczkowska-Owczarek from the 91µÎµÎ Institute of Sociology.

BIP – Blended Intensive Programmes â€“ Blended Intensive Programmes – are short, intensive programmes that combine physical and virtual mobility facilitating teamwork and exchange of experiences based on collaborative e-learning. In Blended Intensive Programmes, students undertake short-term physical mobility (5 to 30 days) abroad combined with a mandatory virtual component (duration to be agreed with the university in charge of the BIP organisation).
