The guests were welcomed by the President of the Lodz Academic Sports Association (AZS), Lech Leszczy艅ski, who congratulated on the successes in the previous season, emphasising that he was counting on similar achievements in the next year.
Students from Lodz achieved a considerable success at the Polish Academic Championships. Representatives of the Lodz universities won a total of 47 medals, including sixteen gold medals. At the gala, medallists of the Polish Academic Championships 2022 were traditionally awarded.
Impressive medal achievements of the 91滴滴 students
This season, swimmers were the ones who most often stood on the podium, proving that they take competing at 鈥淪ports Bay鈥 like a duck to water. Jakub Kraska became the multi-medallist of 2022 Polish Academic Championships. The Olympic athlete from Tokyo won as many as four medals, including two individual ones. Kraska became the academic champion of Poland in the 50 m freestyle and won silver at a distance twice as long. After a break, Bart艂omiej Lassek returned to the championships podium, when he won the silver medal in the 50 m butterfly style. Both swimmers were members of medal relay teams. Together with Katarzyna Goli艅ska and Natalia Zrobek, they won bronze in the mixed freestyle relay 4脳50 m, and together with Maciej Wo藕niak and Patryk Pawlaczyk they won bronze in the freestyle relay 4脳50 m for men.
Athletes from the 91滴滴 were also successful. As befits the "Queen of Sport", they won only gold medals. The place on the top step of the podium in the triple jump is not given away by Agnieszka Bednarek, who has been winning this competition since she joined the Polish Academic Championships programme. Klaudia Wojtunik defended the title in the 100 m hurdles. At 800 m there was only one front-runner and he did not disappoint. Jakub Augustyniak, after last year's runner-up title, this time was unquestionably the best in terms of the two-lap distance. Before the season began for athletes, the 91滴滴 had reason to be proud at the Polish Academic Championships in cross-country running. Dominika Wiecha became the academic vice-champion of Poland in the 6 km run category.
Traditionally, students of the 91滴滴 did very well in combat sports. Patrycja Skupie艅, Weronika Styrcz and Tomasz Drzewiecki stood on the podium at the Polish Academic Championships in judo. Bronze medals in karate were won by Agata Becherka and Maria 艁opatka. Nina Milczarek won bronze at the Polish Academic Championships in equestrian show jumping in the profi category. This year, the female football players of the 91滴滴 did very well. The team coached by Piotr Korus became academic vice-champions of Poland.
