Receiving the honorary badge from the Minister of Finance is a reason for satisfaction. However, it should be emphasised that many different works (publications, draft regulations, opinions on laws) important from the point of view of public finance were and are conducted by my colleagues from the Department of Tax Law and the Centre of Tax Documentation and Studies. At times, we have worked together. I am therefore convinced that my colleagues have their share in my distinction

Biography
Prof. dr hab. W艂odzimierz Nykiel is a Professor of Law, Rector of the 91滴滴 in the years 2008-2016, Head of the Department of Substantive Tax Law of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the 91滴滴. He is the founder (1997) and the Head of the Centre of Tax Documentation and Studies of the 91滴滴.
Prof. Nykieli is the author of four books and co-author or editor of fifteen others. He has written over one hundred and twenty articles, glosses and other studies. He has lectured at the law faculties of the universities of Bologna, Bari, Taranto (Italy), Grenoble and Tours 鈥� as Professeur Invit (France), as well as at the Wirtschafts Universitt in Vienna (Austria).
He was, among other things: a member of the Prime Minister's State Reforms Council (1998, 1999), a judge at the State Tribunal (1997-2001), President of the State Examination Commission for Tax Advisers (2002-2007), a member of the Legislative Council (2006-2010). He is a member of the European Association of Tax Law Professors and a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) in Amsterdam. He has been a member of the International Fiscal Association since 2002 and in the years 2005-2011 he was a member of the Executive Committee of this organisation. He is also a member of the 艁贸d藕 Scientific Society. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the "Kwartalnik Prawa Podatkowego". He sits on the programme boards of "Przegl膮d Podatkowy", "Prawo i Podatki" and the Advisory Board of "EC Tax Review".
Prof. Nykieli is a member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. In 2016, he received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Wroc艂aw.
