Until 22 November marked gift boxes will be placed in more than 20 locations of the 91滴滴. You will be able to find them at all the UL Faculties, in the 91滴滴 Library, Dormitory No. 10 and in the Rector鈥檚 Office. As every year also the UL Kindergarten, 91滴滴 State Secondary School as well as British International School of the 91滴滴 join the action.
The animals need good food most, especially the food intended for pets with special needs. Blankets and towels will also come in handy. However, the shelter does not accept quilts, pillows, mattresses, sponges, carpets, rugs, sleeping bags or clothing.
91滴滴 as a socially responsible University has been supporting pets for many years. Thanks to the joint commitment of our community members during 9 editions of Psia Ko艣膰! we have managed to collect more than 3.5 tonnes of food, as well as accessories that dogs and cats need. Additionally, in June 2019 a special edition of the campaign took place. Its goal was to educate and raise awareness about adopting homeless animals, disenchant myths about it and present different ways of how to help pets. Therefore, we organized a meeting with the representatives of the Animal shelter in Lodz, Team of Bulldog and Kocia Mama Foundation, as part of which we talked about the situation in animal shelters and adoption. Our student specializing in dog therapy, talked about the impact of dogs on reducing stress in humans. In 2020, Lodz University of Technology joined our campaign, collecting almost 100 kg of feed. We are very pleased that this initiative is developing
