Artur Urba艅ski's exhibition "Koniec miasta" [The End of the City] is a photographic essay about the inhabitants of Lodz searching for an idyll. The artist raises the problem of uncontrolled urban growth, i.e. suburbanisation.
The interlocutors will look for answers to the following questions:
- What does architecture say about the desires and dreams of city dwellers?
- How does photography affect our perception of space?
- How can the negative effects of suburbanisation be prevented?
- What is the importance of green spaces for city residents?
- What are the current trends in urban development and can Lodz benefit from them?

BIOS OF THE PANELISTS
Artur Urba艅ski is a documentary photographer. The leitmotif of his work is the interaction between social ideas and the contemporary landscape. He is the author of the books "艁贸d藕 - zdj臋cia z pocz膮tku wieku" and "Koniec miasta". He has taken part in individual and group exhibitions in Graz, Kosice, Hamburg, Derby, Kaunas, Porto, Swansea. His photos have been published by the Sunday Times Magazine, The Guardian and Der Spiegel.

Marek Doma艅ski is a photographer and an academic teacher, Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. He is active in the fields of visual and journalistic creativity. At the exhibitions, he presents staged and documentary photographs, as well as objects and drawings. He is an author and co-author of several monographs and other publications as well as a curator and a co-author of research projects. Marek Doma艅ski works at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, where he is in charge of the Photographic Imaging Studio at the Institute of Photography and Multimedia.

Marek Janiak is a Professor of Art, architect engineer, teaching and research worker at the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Lodz University of Technology. He is a lecturer in "Photography and Aesthetics". Marek Janiak is a former president of the Piotrkowska Street Foundation, a photographer, an interior and architecture designer, a member of the group: 艁贸d藕 Kaliska.

Jakub Kronenberg is an ecological economist, Associate Professor at the 91滴滴, Head of the Social-Ecological Systems Analysis Lab of the 91滴滴. His research interests include various aspects of environmental values, environmental justice, sustainable consumption and degrowth.

Bartosz Ka艂u偶ny is an Americanist, a Doctor of Social Sciences, a fl芒ner and a photographer.
