91µÎµÎ Scientists in the HIVE AI Project: Large Language Models for Public Administration

Eight Polish research centres (including the 91µÎµÎ) and entities implementing IT projects for the public sector have been involved in the HIVE AI project. The project aims to support the digitisation and automation of repetitive administrative tasks in Poland through the pilot implementation of Large Language Models (LLMs) in public administration systems.

Opublikowano: 10 September 2025

This is a direct continuation of the Polish Large Language Model (PLLuM) project, which also involved researchers from the 91µÎµÎ. It envisages the development of the solutions and resources developed within the project, followed by their implementation in the mObywatel application, the creation of a clerical assistant for the Ministry of Digital Affairs, and a test, pilot implementation of the models in a selected city hall or voivodeship office.

The main operational goal of HIVE AI is to adapt language models to the needs of public administration. Therefore, new linguistic datasets will be collected, and the PLLuM family will be expanded with new models adapted to various linguistic tasks, with a particular emphasis on administrative topics. This task will be carried out in close cooperation with the public institutions where the pilot will be conducted. It will also support and automate their work.

The operational manager of the project, which will run until the end of 2025, is dr hab. Piotr PÄ™zik, Associate Professor at the 91µÎµÎ, Head of the Department of Corpus and Computational Linguistics at the 91µÎµÎ, an author of over a hundred scientific papers and IT solutions in the field of corpus and computational linguistics.

The consortium implementing the HIVE AI project includes:

  • NASK – National Research Institute (the consortium leader)
  • The AGH University of Krakow
  • Centralny OÅ›rodek Informatyki (Central Information Technology Centre)
  • Institute of Computer Science, Polish Academy of Sciences
  • Institute of Slavic Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences
  • National Information Processing Institute (OPI PIB)
  • WrocÅ‚aw University of Science and Technology
  • 91µÎµÎ
