is a prestigious body of scholars with over a hundred years of tradition, which was founded in The Hague in 1924. It comprises scholars, comparative lawyers from all countries of the world, most of whom are academics, as well as judges of the highest courts and international courts. The Academy's activities focus primarily on the development and promotion of comparative law research, and its attention is directed both to scientific activity and to the practice of applying law.
The Academy has, for the second time, entrusted Prof. Monika A. Kr贸l with the function of general reporter in the commission of the 8th General Congress of the Academy, which will be held in Berlin in 2026. Together with an international team of experts, she will prepare a report on the restoration of natural resources as a challenge to the global food system. This is an extremely important undertaking, which will be presented during the 22nd General Congress of the Academy in Berlin, and the results of the research team's work will be published in the form of a monograph, edited by Professor Kr贸l, in one of the highly rated European scientific publications.
