91滴滴

Senate is the most important body of the 91滴滴, where representatives of all parts of our community 鈥� students, researchers and administrative Staff 鈥� jointly decide on the university's future. During regular meetings, the Senate approves study programmes, gives opinions on draft strategies and budgets, awards honorary degrees, and adopts resolutions on key organisational and academic issues.

COMPETENCES OF THE SENATE
  • adopting and amending the statute;
  • adopting the Rules of Study at the 91滴滴;
  • adopting the University strategy and approving the report on its implementation;
  • appointing members of the university council;
  • giving opinions on candidates for the Rector;
  • conducting an assessment of the university's operation;
  • making recommendations for the University Council and the Rector on the tasks they perform;
  • conferring the title of Doctor Honoris Causa, ceremonial renewal of doctorates and awarding the university medals;
  • determining the terms and conditions, the mode and the date of commencement and completion of admissions for studies and specialised education;
  • establishing curricula for degree programmes and postgraduate studies;
  • adopting regulations for doctoral schools, admissions principles and establishing education curricula at doctoral schools;
  • specifying the method of confirming study effects;
  • indicating candidates for representative institutions of higher education and science;
  • performing, in accordance with the relevant regulations, tasks related to:
  1. assigning levels of the Polish Qualifications Framework to qualifications awarded after completing postgraduate studies,
  2. inclusion in the Integrated Qualification System of qualifications awarded following completion of post-graduate studies and other forms of education;
  • approving the statutes for the federation of the university with a public university, a research institute, an institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences or an international institute;
  • adopting regulations for the management of copyright and related rights, as well as industrial property rights, and rules for the commercialisation of the results of research and development work of the University, subject to the principles arising from separate regulations;
  • establishing the principles of operation of the university and guidelines for faculties related to the performance of basic tasks of the university;
  • giving consent for the Rector to conclude a cooperation agreement with a foreign entity;
  • giving consent to the establishment of an academic business incubator in the form of a university-wide unit or a capital company or a technology transfer centre in the form of a university-wide unit and approving their regulations;
  • giving opinions on the establishment and closing down a branch of the university;
  • establishing rules for the acquisition, disposal and encumbrance of securities to the extent not regulated by separate regulations;
  • giving consent to the acquisition, disposal or encumbrance of the university's property, if required by separate regulations;
  • giving consent for the university to establish or join a company, co-operative or other economic organisation, as well as to establish a partnership;
  • adopting the material and financial plan;
  • giving opinions on the establishment, transformation and closing down faculties;
  • approving the university's accession to the European University Network;
  • performing other tasks specified in the Statutes and commonly applicable laws.
